CHARLOTTE – N.C. Department of Transportation contract crews will close two ramps along I-77 and I-277 this week, as part of a $16.3 million project to improve 22 bridges in the area.
Closures are scheduled from 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, until 6 a.m. Friday, Nov. 17, and from 8:30 p.m. Friday until 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 18.
Crews will close the ramp from I-77 North to the I-277 Outer Loop (Exit 9B). Traffic will be detoured from I-77 North to Remount Road (Exit 8). Motorists will turn left on Remount Road, then right on Wilkinson Boulevard back to I-277.
Crews will close the ramp from the I-277 Outer Loop to U.S. 74 East (Exit 2B). Traffic will be detoured from I-277 to Charlottetowne Avenue (Exit 2A), continuing to U.S. 74 East.
