Man on bicycle hit and killed by drunk motorist in north Charlotte 


A man riding his bicycle was hit and killed early Friday morning on Matheson Ave in north Charlotte by an intoxicated driver who left the scene of the crash.  Gregory C. Mobley was transported to CMC with life threatening injuries and was later pronounced dead as a result of his injuries sustained in the hit & run.  Shortly after the call was received about the crash, another 911 call was received about a vehicle riding on N Tryon St with a shattered windshield and a flat tire. Officers located a Toyota Camry in the 4400 block of N Tryon St driven by Tamara G. Juarez.  The police investigation revealed that the vehicle driven by Juarez was the vehicle that struck Mobley on Matheson Ave. She was charged with Felony hit & run, driving while impaired, open container, & felony death by vehicle.  Her bond was set at $17,000.
