Chuck Roads


Chuck, a native of West Virginia, is a graduate of UNC-Charlotte. He enjoys spending time with family, playing golf & basketball, and of course, reporting the traffic.  In addition to being the Director of Operations of CRT,  Chuck is also the morning Traffic Anchor for Good Day Charlotte on FOX 46.



Chuck Roads Traffic has been providing accurate, real-time traffic updates for local TV & radio since 1998.  That's when CRT signed on with the legendary News-Talk 1110 WBT and 107.9 The Link in Charlotte.  In 2013, CRT signed on with FOX 46 WJZY & ESPN Radio in Charlotte.

John Voncannon

Traffic Anchor

John, a native of Charlotte, is a graduate of the University of NC.  He has two cats, Trey the Traffic Cat & Willow.  John, a freelance Photographer, is the morning Anchor for ESPN Charlotte (AM 730 & 97.5 FM) & Chuck Roads On-Demand. He also calls local high school football and basketball.  


Matt Jacobs

Traffic Anchor

Matt, a native of Rock Hill, South Carolina is a former 911 Emergency Dispatcher & Training Officer with over 11 years of service.  He has worked for the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Dept., York County Sheriff's Office, & the City of Columbia, SC. Matt, an avid music lover, is also a drummer & DJ.  He is Chuck's fill-in on Good Day Charlotte.


Tom Miner

Traffic Anchor


Tom, a native of Washington, DC is a fill-in Anchor for CRT.  He can also be heard on WGTS 91.9 in Washington, DC where he reports the news & traffic. Tom is also a fill-in host for a nationally syndicated radio program, and is fill-in Traffic Anchor on Good Day Charlotte as well.
